Dr. Xu Feng is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Her research focuses on the interactions between climate change, wildfires, and air quality. She integrates satellite observations, air quality models, and machine learning to better understand wildfire behavior and smoke exposure across the western United States and other fire-prone regions. Within the Collaborative, her work focuses on developing modeling frameworks for wildfire plume injection heights and assessing the impacts of wildfire smoke on regional air quality and public health under changing climate conditions.
