OBJECTIVES
Impacts on People & Nature

Tyler is a Ph.D. student in the Environmental Health Sciences Department at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), advised by Dr. Miriam Marlier. He obtained his B.S. in Molecular Environmental Biology from the University of California Berkeley and his M.P.H. at UCLA's Fielding School of Public Health. Tyler's research interests center around public health co-benefits and impacts that may be coupled with various climate change and hazard mitigation strategies; such as retirement of fossil fuel energy generating units to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, wildfire prescribed burning to reduce wildfire severity, and public safety power shutoffs to reduce wildfire ignition risk.
