Trent is a PhD candidate in the Remote Sensing Ecohydrology Group at Stanford University. He seeks to improve our ability to model fire risk by developing and testing novel methods for predicting vegetation water status across the western United States. Trent’s work enables such predictions by combining physical modeling, machine learning methods, and remote sensing data.
Trent grew up in Southern California where he developed his love for trail running, climbing, and all things outdoors. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he received his B.S. in Environmental Sciences and a minor in Catholic Social Tradition.
