Johanna Buchner

Dr. Johanna Buchner is a Research Associate in the SILVIS Lab at the University of
Wisconsin–Madison, where she studies wildfires in protected areas. Her research explores
broad land cover changes and their effects on biodiversity. Previously, she worked for the local
and state government in Germany on conservation planning through spatial analysis and
remote sensing. She is dedicated to connecting scientific research with practical land-use
management.
