Gavin D. Madakumbura

Gavin is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles. His work focuses on understanding how climate and human activity influence wildfire in the Western United States, using both observational data and wildfire simulations. He earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at UCLA. During his doctoral research, Gavin studied the ecohydrological impacts of climate change and climate variability, as well as developed observational constraints on future precipitation projections.
